Namaste! I am Milan Gurung, former student of Shamrock School. I was very fortunate to be able to join Shamrock in 2009, when I was 12 years old, to do my secondary education. After I finished my education at Shamrock, I worked at the school as a warden and teacher while continuing with my further studies.
I have recently graduated on the prestigious Dean’s List at Pokhara University after completing a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Shamrock always taught me about discipline, dedication, hard work and to never give up in life. With such aspiration, I kept myself focused and motivated to accomplish my academic goals. During my years at Shamrock as a student teacher I taught mathematics and computer studies to the Junior classes, I also took care of the students at the hostel and was responsible for sports and music. In addition to this, I have been publishing newsletters in collaboration with the Shamrock newsletter team. My seven years of teaching mathematics and computer studies at Shamrock has honed my passion of sharing knowledge and engaging with the pupils.
After the completion of my undergraduate studies, I was selected to work in an ‘A’ class commercial bank in Nepal where I am presently. I aspire to grow within the financial sector and become an important part in helping the development and sustainability of my country’s economy. My future endeavor is to grow within the financial sector and enhance my managerial skills on an international level.
I will always be thankful to Shamrock for providing valuable life skills and nurturing me to become a leader.
