Ex Pupil Story: Bhokashi Gurung

Namaste,

My name is Bhokashi Gurung, a former student of Shamrock School, Nepal.

In 2010, I got the opportunity to join the Shamrock family as a student and achieved my School Leaving Certificate Level in 2015. I subsequently went on to study Management at Paschimanchal Higher Secondary School which I completed in 2018.

In July, 2018, I moved to Perth, Western Australia, to study Commercial cookery in the Australian Technical College. I completed my certificate III, IV, diploma and also worked as a chef in Dome, Leederville and Frasers Restaurant, Kings Park till August, 2020.

I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Community Service at Stott’s College (Acknowledge Education). In addition, I work with different disabled people at Rocky Bay Disability House as a support worker and have also recently begun volunteering at Communicare, Breathing Space.

I am grateful to the Shamrock family for laying such a strong foundation for me. Shamrock has assisted me in developing a wide range of abilities and interests that range from extracurricular to academics. Shamrock has inspired me to seek out new experiences and has changed my perspectives in life. Above all, Shamrock has taught me to NEVER GIVE UP.

I would like to thank all of the amazing contributors, volunteers, and supporters of the Shamrock family. It would be my pleasure to help Shamrock in the coming days.
