Ex Pupil Story: Madan Shrestha

NAMASTE!
I am Madan Shrestha – a former student, current teacher and hostel manager at Shamrock School Nepal.

Shamrock was established in 2006 and I joined as a student in 2007 when I was 13 and in class 7.  After finishing Grade 10 and achieving the SLC (School Leaving Certificate), I began college classes in the morning and teaching part time at Shamrock in the afternoon.

I teach EHP (Environment, Health and Population) from Classes 5 to 10.  I also take care of sports and train the students every afternoon after school.  We have two very good football teams at Shamrock – a boys team and a girls team.  We have participated in several school football tournaments and have won a couple of them. Moreover, I look after the students in the hostel and make sure they are safe and happy at Shamrock.

I feel lucky to be part of this school, both as a student and a teacher. This institution has taught me important lessons of responsibility, discipline and life values.

I am very grateful to Shamrock and all the sponsors who have been supporting the school.  NEVER GIVING UP!
