Ex Pupil Story: Madan Shrestha

I joined Shamrock School in 2007, when I was 13, in Grade 7. My class was the first group from Shamrock to sit the official class 8 DLE (District Level Exam) from Machhapuchhre Gyanodaya Secondary School. We were also first class to sit SLC in the nepalese year 2068.

I have been teaching in Shamrock (Gyanodaya Boarding School) since 2011 while also working and supervising as a head warden. At the moment Mukti (our security officer) and I are the longest serving at Shamrock.

I’ve finished my studies at A level (10+2) at the faculty of Science at Pokhara College and I am now going going to take grade 12 exam.

From the next session 2016/17 I’ll be doing full time teaching here in shamrock. Being a head warden I also help our school manager (Michael Newton) to run the school safely and efficiently.

I’ve had a many great experiences at shamrock, starting from the day I arrived here. Some of them are unbelievable like Rafting in the Trisuli river, Ultralight flying as a reward for being top student in the school as well as teacher training with the teachers who taught us so much more.
