Leadership Training by Kamal Thada

A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way. Leadership is the quality of a person to lead or guide. Leadership involves- administration, authority, control, direction, management, and power. The greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things. He is the one that gets the people to do the greatest things.

On 25th and 26th July, The Learning House conducted a Leadership Training in our school for Class 8, 9 and 10 students. Michelle Welsch, who runs the Learning House was the organiser of the Program.
The students were divided in 7 groups, consisting of equal number of members with a leader from Learning House in each group.

It was two days training session. On the first day, Leaders interacted with all the members of the group asking different questions and sharing experiences of life. They also conducted different activities to involve all the members of the group.

The activity was tougher on the second day, as each student from the group had to go in front and speak on the topic ” We should choose our future by our own or by others”. Differents students came up with different opinions and thoughts regarding the topic. Some students with their group performed drama, some others used props while few did the presentation only. The activity and the whole training session was very interactive and productive. We also got rewards for our hardwork and dedication.

In general, Leadership qualities develop over a long period of time and with continuous effort and experience. Our leaders taught us all the qualities of a good leader and encouraged us to lead the society and the nation. Nobody is born a leader. One needs to develop the skills and abilities throughout the life. Good leadership makes people powerful and that power must be handle with care.
